You can do more than stitch in the ditch! If you have wanted to try free-motion machine quilting but don’t know where to start or if you have tried it before and want to expand your abilities, then this class is for you. We will start with the basics and work our way up to a variety of designs to add to your quilting toolbox (including stippling, pebbles, broken glass, spirals, and many others).
Skill Level: Beginner
(Note: samples below represent ideas, not final product of class)
Ashley Bandy began quilting in 2009. Since then, she has created over 100 quilts, designing many of them herself. She has won various awards and was juried into the AQS Paducah show before she turned 30.
She calls herself the ‘Experimental Quilter’ not only because she loves science, but because she loves to dabble in a variety of different styles and techniques (across a variety of arts and crafts too!). She has designed patterns that range from traditional to modern.
$45 for members of The Quilting Party
$55 workshop fee per person for non-members
Note: For the safety of all attendees:
wearing a mask for the duration of the workshop will be required.
